Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes.

The Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit line is one of my favorites. It keeps my skin in check!

This year Neutrogena added a new product to the line.
 Photobucket

Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes for Acne-Prone Skin

Photobucket

Price:
Around $6.99
Right now on sale @ CVS  $6.39

"These soft, pre-moistened wipes are great for on-the-go use, sweeping away pore clogging dirt and oil in one simple step-- leaving your face looking refreshed and smelling amazing!"
  • Convenient, pre-moistened wipes that thoroughly cleanse skin of pore-clogging impurities, without leaving behind a greasy residue so no need to rinse
  • Oil-free formula ideal for acne-prone skin
  • Uplifting blast of 100% naturally derived grapefruit extract + vitamin C

These wipes are perfect for when you're on the go.
I've been using them whenever I'm in a rush or when I'm feeling too tired and lazy to wash my face at night.
They don't dry out my skin and leave it feeling fresh.
Sadly, if you were expecting that same amazing grapefruit scent, you will not find it here.
Now don't get me wrong, it does smell like grapefruit but it's just not the same. It's mixed in with something else. I don't know what that something else is but I don't find it very appealing. =(

Neutrogena Deep Clean Line.

Yes, another Neutrogena post.. but it's leading up to a great giveaway!
I know this post is pretty long and I was going to break it up but I just want to get on to the good stuff! lol

I got to try out some products from the Neutrogena Deep Clean Line.

I received:
Photobucket
  • Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Daily Scrub
  • Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Cleanser/Mask
  • Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser
  • Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub

Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Daily Scrub

 Price:
Around $6.99
On sale right now at CVS for $6.39
  • Gentle exfoliating scrub combats oil and controls shine so skin is left looking and feeling smoother and healthier
  • Contains Rice Protein Technology to remove skin impurities and absorb oil on the surface of the skin.
      • Absorbs oil 10X faster than silica or clay.
      • Holds 2X as much oil as silica or clay, making it a superior oil absorber that grabs oil like a magnet
  • Clinically proven to instantly absorb 85% of built up oil and visibly control shine for up to eight hours

Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Cleanser/Mask

Price:
Around  $6.99
On sale right now at CVS for $6.39
  • Rich 2-in-1 cleanser works to combat oil and control shine and can be used as a cleanser or, on those extra oily days, and intensive 3-minute mask
  • Contains the same Rice Protein Technology as the Daily Scrub
  • Clinically proven to visibly control shine for up to eight hours.

 My thoughts:
I tried the shine control products and that did not go so well.
I was really excited to test these out too. =(

Let me first say that they smell sooo good. Such a nice and clean scent.
I also love that the cleanser can be used as a mask
It didn't dry my face out at all and left it feeling so soft.
I feel like it did keep my face shine free a little bit longer than usual but definitely nowhere near 8 hours(maybe 1-3 hrs).
I only used this for about a week and noticed that my skin was looking no bueno and bumpy. I know it had to be the shine control products because if I skipped a day the bumps would disappear.
So I dropped that from my daily routine.

*I just want to remind you that although a product works or doesn't work for me does not guarantee it will work the same for you. So just because this product gave me bad skin for about a week doesn't mean that you won't think it's amazing.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser($6.39 @CVS) and Gentle Scrub ($5.03 @ CVS)
  • Cleansers that clean so deep down into pores they even remove blackhead-causing dirt and oil for the deepest feeling clean.
  • Effective formula cleans deep down into the pores, dissolving dirt, oil, and makeup.
  • Contains a beta hydroxy acid which washes away dead surface skin cells that can dull the complexion.
  • Contains menthol for a refreshing, cooling feeling
  • Leaves skin with a deep-feeling clean
  • Improves complexion by leaving skin cleaner, softer, smoother and healthier-looking
  • No pore-clogging residue
  • Oil free
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Non-comedogenic

As for these Deep Clean products, I haven't tried them so I can't give you my opinion.
My sister used them and she liked them. She has sensitive skin so many products don't agree with her.
They didn't dry out her skin and left it feeling clean and soft.
They have a nice, clean scent although I think the shine control products smell a whole lot better.

I also got Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Blotting Sheets.
Photobucket
  •  Silky, ultra-absorbent sheets instantly remove excess surface oil that may clog pores, without over-drying skin or disturbing makeup
  • Fragrance- Free
  • Safe to use as often as needed
  • Clinically proven to leave skin shine free for up to four house and reduce shine by 95%

Price:
Around $5.99 for 50 sheets

I love blotting sheets. I've been keeping these with me at all times.
It doesn't leave my skin shine free for up to four hours like they say.
To me they seem like any other blotting papers I've tried. I don't really see a difference.

Photobucket
There is a piece of double sided tape on the inside of the flap so that when u open it, it pulls a sheet right out for you.

Have you tried any of these products?
What did you think of them?

Review: Neutrogena Makeup Removers.

Let me introduce you to my new friends. =)

Photobucket
Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover and Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

 Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Photobucket
"Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover takes off even waterproof eye makeup without leaving an oily residue. Forget harsh tugging and pulling. This ultra-gentle dual phase formula activates when shaken to remove all eye makeup--even waterproof mascara--without any greasy residue. It is ophthalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers and oil free.
Take off all your eye makeup the gentle way."
  • Dual-action formula removes even waterproof makeup
  • Oil-free, non-greasy
  • Ophthalmologist tested
  • Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

Price:
Around $6.99
On sale right now at CVS for $5.99
Available in 3.8 oz and 5.5 oz.

My Thoughts:
This product is amazing! It removes my eye makeup effortlessly.
I apply some onto a cotton pad and wipe it all away.

Even though Neutrogena says it's oil free it still leaves your lids feeling greasy.
I personally don't mind this at all since I always wash my face after I  remove my eye makeup.
I'm not too fond of the smell but if it works it works lol.

This reminds me so much of Clinique's Take The Day Off makeup remover(love this!). They don't have all the same ingredients but they look, feel, and work exactly the same.
What Neutrogena's missing is a safety cap. This would make it a lot less messy to travel with.
The biggest(and best) difference is the price.
Cliniques makeup remover will cost you $18(4.2 oz) while Neutrogenas eye makeup remover is on sale right now at CVS for $5.99(5.5 oz) . Less than half the price and you're getting more product!
It works exactly like the high end stuff and will keep a little extra money in your pocket.
Clinique, I'm sorry but I think you have been replaced.

 Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
 Photobucket
"Taking off makeup everyday can be a hassle. Many removers do not fully remove product, leaving traces of makeup that can cause clogged pores and breakouts. But with just one towelette, Neutrogena Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes remove 99.3% of all traces of dirt, oil, and makeup to reveal clean, fresh skin. It takes two competitor wipes to do what one Neutrogena wipe can. These gentle, ultra soft cloths contain superior cleansing technology so effective that it removes even waterproof mascara. Quick and easy to use, these wipes thoroughly cleanse skin with no heavy residue, so there's no need to rinse!"
  •  Ultra soft cloths gently and quickly dissolve all traces of makeup, leaving skin thoroughly clean, without heavy residue
  • Removes makeup with just one easy step
  • Gentle enough to use around the delicate eye area
  • Safe for contact lens wearers
 Price:
Around $8.99 for 25 towelettes with Vanity Case
Around $6.49 for 25 refills
On sale right now at CVS for $5.99

My Thoughts:
These makeup remover wipes are a must have!
After a long night of partying, the last thing I want to think about is taking all that makeup off. These make everything sooo much easier. I usually use baby wipes on nights like these and it's such a pain to try and remove every last trace of makeup. These Neutrogena wipes remove everything! It all comes off so easily without any tugging or pulling.

Photobucket
This is nothing compared to my completely done up face lol.

I love that you don't have to rinse your face after using them.
They smell good and left my face feeling nice and clean.
You may need more than 1 wipe(definitely no more than 2) depending on how much makeup you have caked on.

Have you tried these products?

Kiss Nail Dress Review.

Fashion that sticks!

If you don't have time to do your nails, don't have a steady hand for creating designs, or maybe just feeling too lazy to do them... then keep on reading!

These Kiss Nail Dress strips came in the Influenster Love VoxBox which I mentioned in an earlier post.

The style I received was "Sexy".
Photobucket

What are they?
Stickers for your nails(and toes) that you can use instead of applying nail polish.
Stick these on and you're good to go.
It comes with 28 strips in 14 different sizes, a design booklet, and a file.

There are 18 different styles.
Photobucket
Cuuute! =)

Price: $7.99 @ Walgreens right now
How to apply:
  1. Select size that fits your nail.
  2. Apply near, not on cuticle & smooth away from center.
  3. Fold down over edge & file excess.

Photobucket
Sorry, I know you're probably sick of seeing pink nails by now lol.

Kiss says these strips last up to 10 days depending on your lifestyle.
I only used 1 on each hand because I wasn't sure how long it would last on my nails.
It's been 6 days and they're starting to peel a bit at the tips. I might be able to get away with it for another day.
So for me this lasts about a week and I am not complaining about that. Pretty great for some stickers I must say!

These are very easy to apply.
There is no drying time and you don't need a top coat.
To remove just peel off from the sides.
Other nail strips dry out over time once they're opened but since these are stickers you won't have to worry about that.

 The 1 problem I had...
Photobucket
Some bunching up on the sides. I couldn't get it to be completely smooth.
Not very attractive but it's only noticeable if you're looking up close.
Oh and make sure you smooth out the tips as much as possible so they don't get caught on anything.

You can also cut up any leftover strips to create designs like these...
Photobucket
Directions say to apply onto a clean nail or over Kiss Impress Nails so I don't know how well these work over nail polish.
I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet but I'm hoping it stays on because I am not buying no press-on nails just to do this lol.

Would I buy this product?
Yes!
There are a few styles that I need to go buy. They are just too cute to pass up.

Have you tried Kiss Nail Dress?
What do you think about them?

A little more dramatic than the other.

Freeman Beauty Facial Masks Review.

Freeman Beauty sent over a few products for me to review. =)

"Made with natural, botanical ingredients, Freeman Feeling Beautiful is a full range of skin and body care products to help you look and feel your best."

Everything was packed in this cute Freeman hanging travel case.
Photobucket

Inside the case:
  • Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask ($1.99)
  • Cucumber Peel-Off Facial Mask ($1.99)
  • Chocolate & Strawberry Facial Clay Mask ($3.99)
  • Pssssst Shower Cap
  • Freeman Hand Towel

Photobucket
Photobucket

 Cucumber Peel-Off Facial Mask
This clarifying mask gently peels away impurities while Cucumber Extract leaves your skin smooth and silky.

I think peel off masks are so much fun to use!
They remind of when I used to get glue on my fingers as a kid... I would let the glue dry just so I could peel it off. Who else enjoyed that??
This mask has a nice, light, cucumber scent.
It was pretty messy to apply because it's so thick and gooey. It was oozing all over the packaging. The squeeze tube one would probably be easier to use but I didn't mind since I was just excited to peel it off.

Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask
This rich clay mask, with added Oatmeal and Vitamin E, draws out excess oils and dirt, purging clogged pores, leaving your skin clean and soft.

This mask smells sooo good. Definitely my favorite scent out of the 3.
It didn't really remind me of avocado or oatmeal. It had more of a clean scent... kind of like a Cabbage Patch Kid(I know you're loving my comparisons right now) lol.
This took a while to completely rinse off. The consistency was smooth and creamy yet thick at the same time.

Chocolate & Strawberry Facial Clay Mask.
This clay mask enhanced with Strawberry Extract helps tone skin and diminish the appearance of large pores. Shea and Cocoa Butter nourish and moisturize. Perfect for t-zone, normal and dry skin types.

I love chocolate but I am not a fan of chocolate scented products. I don't care if it's lip balm, lotion, or a candle. I just don't like it. The only thing I want smelling like chocolate is the real stuff.

Now even though it's not my cup of tea, I know some of you may love it.

This just smells like chocolate. You can barely smell any strawberry.
It feels very light and goes on smoothly. Unlike the Avocado & Oatmeal mask, this rinsed off very easily.

All 3 left my skin feeling clean and smooth without drying my face.  =)

Born Pretty Store Review + NOTD.

BornPrettyStore.com sells tons of nail art products for those of us who love keeping our nails on point.

I picked out these nail art rhinestones.
Photobucket
  Price: $3.88

 Use code
JUL5W21
 for 5% off dicount

Not only are these gorgeous for nail art but you can also use them for makeup looks.
There are 3 different sizes in the wheel.
I suggest you stick with the smaller ones for nails. The largest size loses its shine once you've applied a clear coat over it.

How I did my nails:
I used the smallest rhinestones in these pics.
 Photobucket
Apply base coat. Let dry.
Color of your choice. Let dry.
Apply top coat and place the rhinestones where you would like them to go.
Apply top coat again and you're done.
 Photobucket
  LASplash French Rose on nails.
(the color is a little off)

Review: Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System.

Photobucket

What I received:
  •  The Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System kit, including: The Attachment Head, 12 Rejuvenating Puffs(1month supply), 2 AA batteries
  • 2 Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System Puffs Refills(4month supply)
  • A Neutrogena Gel Eye Mask

Price:
Microdermabrasion Kit $21.99 @Walgreens
Refill Pack $11.24 @Walgreens

Product Description:
For softer, more luminous skin today and firmer, younger-looking skin tomorrow, Neutrogena® Microdermabrasion System starter kit delivers noticeable results every time you use it.

Even more effective than professional microdermabrasion, Microdermabrasion System is a simple, convenient at-home system that features single-use puffs and the microdermabrasion applicator. Each puff is pre-dosed with ultra-fine crystals and mild purifiers for the perfect degree of gentle exfoliation. What's more, the massaging micro-vibrations boost surface cell turnover for firmer, younger-looking skin.

A dermatologist clinical study showed that Microdermabrasion System helped reduce multiple signs of aging:

91% had smoother, more luminous skin instantly
88% had visible improvement in the look of fine lines after 1 week
88% had significantly reduced appearance of wrinkles or age spots after 4 weeks
72% had substantially firmer-looking skin after 8 weeks

My thoughts:
Photobucket

The first time I used this product I ended up with a scratch on my forehead. Not really sure how that happened but I suggest using this on low speed with very light pressure until you get used to it.
After that little incident there were no more scratches.
I've been using this 1-2 times per week and have been left with soft, smooth, glowing skin.

Since you're using a deeper form of exfoliation make sure to use a moisturizer or anti aging serum right after to restore the moisture in your skin.

I can't really tell you how well this works on fine lines and wrinkles since I don't have any. I also can't compare this to professional microdermabrasion... sorry!
I can say that I actually do like this product. I'm usually left with dark spots on my face after a bad breakout and this has helped speed up the process of getting my skin back to normal. =)

FYI This product does not spin. It vibrates.
I usually prefer a facial cleansing tool that spins because I feel like it's doing more work.. but when it comes to this microdermabrasion system the vibrating alone works just fine.

Carmex Skin Care Review & Giveaway! [CLOSED]

With Winter right around the corner, we need to start protecting our skin from drying out on these cold days.
Carmex, who is known for their amazing lip balms(which i love btw), now has a skin care line to help heal, soothe, and moisturize your dry skin.

I got to try out their Healing Lotion and Cream and also received travel sizes.
Photobucket
  • 5.5oz Carmex Healing Lotion
  • 1oz Carmex Healing Lotion
  • 4oz Carmex Healing Cream
  • .75oz Carmex Healing Cream

The Carmex Healing Lotion contains Aloe and Vitamin E to nourish and moisturize. It is to be used daily to help protect skin and keep dryness away.
The Carmex Healing Cream has 9 healing ingredients to help repair your driest, roughest skin.

Price: $4.79 on sale @ CVS
around $0.99 for travel size

Both are non greasy and will definitely keep your skin feeling smooth and soft.
It's the very faint scent of Carmex lip balm that bothers me... you know... that menthol and camphor scent.
It's not at all a bad smell but it's not a turn on either lol.
Not sure if I would purchase the healing lotion but I'll definitely be buying the cream just to keep my hands and feet extra smooth.

Review: Neutrogena Wave Sonic Power Cleanser.

Photobucket

"Wave hello to softer, glowing skin with Neutrogena Wave Sonic 2-speed spinning power-cleanser, a breakthrough spinning power-cleanser that's clinically proven to clean up to 50x better than regular cleansing.* The spinning action of Neutrogena Wave Sonic works better than what your hands can do alone--providing deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation and massaging in one easy step."

* Removal of dirt and stubborn waterproof foundation vs. a leading cleanser
  • Two cleansing speeds: gentle daily cleansing and deep cleansing
  • 2 weeks supply of foaming pads
  • Water resistant. Can be used while at sink or in shower
  • Dermatologist tested

Price:

$16.99 now on sale for $13.99 @ Neutrogena.com

Refill pads are $6.49 now on sale for $4.49 (30 in a pack)

How to use:
  1.  Simply attach a disposable pad to the attachment head.
  2. Hold under running water to activate cleansing pad.
  3. Turn on by pressing the power button. Choose your speed then gently massage over face. Avoid use in delicate eye area.

I loved how the Neutrogena Wave Sonic Cleanser left my face feeling soft and smooth.
This product is very affordable and easy to use. The pads don't need much water but they do take a while to foam up and they don't foam as much as I expected them to.
Besides that small issue, this power cleanser works really well. It's a great exfoliator yet gentle on the skin which surprised me. It even gives my skin a nice glow. =)

I will be having a giveaway for this very soon so keep an eye out!

Review: Milani Baked Eyeshadow & 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer.

Another Milani review for you. =)

    Photobucket
Milani Baked Marbleized Eyeshadow in "Drench in Gold"
3D Holographic Nail Lacquer in "3D"

     Baked Marbleized Eyeshadow
     Photobucket
"Captivating eyeshadow powder that features multiple infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. All of these gorgeous combinations are designed to be used Wet or Dry."
    $7.49 on the Milani site
    $6.79 at Walgreens

This is my new favorite gold eyeshadow! I'm in love with it.
Pretty when applied dry but amazing when applied wet. It's more of a warmer bronzey gold than a true gold. I don't have any other gold shades like this one so I would def. suggest buying it. You will love it!
I used "Drench in Gold"(dry) for this look.

    Swatches:
    Photobucket
    without flash

    Photobucket
    with flash

Sorry for the sucky swatches once again. My camera isn't picking up shimmer or glitter too well but I guess these are better than no swatch at all.

    3D Holographic Nail Lacquer
    Photobucket
"New specialty nail lacquer that exhibits a unique 3D Holographic effect that no other nail lacquer has ever achieved. The nail lacquer appears to color-shift as the illumination source or the viewing angle changes. This color phenomenon is based on Holographic Image Technology that makes a very thin, bright, embossed metallic flake look like a rainbow. It allows the color to travel from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet; seven distinctive colors of the color spectrum."
$4.99 on the Milani site and at CVS

I really love the holographic effect of this nail polish. Even though we're dealing with glitters, this nail polish feels smooth to the touch. You get full coverage in 2-3 coats. A pretty gold but I'm not so sure yet how I feel about this color on myself.

    Photobucket

Next Milani Review will be on the "Soleil" Baked Bronzer and the Infinite Liquid Eyeliner in "Forever"
